ACI, NETTCP, ICC, IBC And NICET Certified Technicians And/Or Inspectors – Boston (South Shore), MA And Cumberland, RI

Job description

We have several openings for certified construction inspection and materials testing technicians. Inspectors will perform inspections of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel, structural steel, and roadway construction and asphalt pavement. Candidates must be responsible, have excellent written, verbal, organizational, and communication skills. And must have a valid RI or Massachusetts driving license, reliable mode of transportation and a clean driving record. Inspections and testing are in support of Briggs overall building, roadway & bridge, geotechnical, structural steel, and building technology divisions.

Required skills and responsibilities

These positions require self-motivated individuals who exhibits superior attention to detail. Must have 1+ years of experience in construction inspection and materials testing, construction QA/QC and/or special inspections. Additional requirements include excellent technical skills, verbal and written communications, and client relations. Candidates with multiple certifications in construction materials testing including ICC, IBC, ACI, PCI, and NICET are urged to apply. Must be able to lift heavy samples and equipment (up to 50 lbs.). Position may require local travel and candidates must possess a reliable mode of transportation with a clean driving record.

  • High School Diploma
  • Associates or Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Technology or similar field preferred, with related experience

Entry Level Construction Testing & Inspections Technician – Boston (South Shore), MA And Cumberland, RI

Job description

Briggs Engineering performs inspections of soils, concrete, masonry, reinforcing steel and asphalt pavement. Certifications and experience in construction are a plus, but training is available for the appropriate candidates. Candidates must be responsible, have good written and communication skills and must have a reliable mode of transportation with a clean driving record. Starting entry level hourly rates are between $17 and $20/hour with generous benefit packages.  See below for further details.

Roadway Construction Field Engineers / Inspectors – Boston (Metro), MA

Job description

Our team is looking for talented, motivated, and high-performing roadway engineers, field engineers and construction inspectors to join our expert team. Field engineers/inspectors are responsible for various types of inspections and testing including: roadway construction inspection, monitoring of roadway repairs, and materials installations in support of Briggs municipal contracts, Also, in support of Briggs construction testing division, technicians provide quality assurance for new and vertical construction projects, renovations, utility installations, and materials testing.

Required skills and responsibilities

Excellent written, oral, communicative, computer and organization skills. General knowledge of building construction and/or roadway installations is a plus. The ability to read and interpret construction drawings, and perform satisfactorly in pressurized situations. Valid MA drivers license and transportation is a must.

Related education andor qualifications

Associates degree or bachelors degree in construction management, civil/geotechnical engineering or related disciplines is preferred. ACI, CCI, NETTCP and CWI certifications also preferred.  Training will be provided for all available positions including entry level inspectors/technicians. All candidates are urged to apply.
