RE: COVID -19 /CORONAVIRUS
The health and well-being of our staff, employees and our clients is our top priority, now and always. In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, we are closely following and adhering to the precautions advised by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health as mandated by Governor Charles Baker, and the Rhode Island Department of Public Health as mandated by Governor Gina Raimondo.
Our offices will remain open, but on high alert with regard to next steps recommended by the state of Massachusetts, the state of Rhode Island, and the Federal Government to combat the present pandemic.
Note: Briggs E&T and our staff are routinely cleaning and disinfecting our offices, facilities, lavatories, common areas, doorknobs and laboratories. Thorough cleaning and disinfecting is conducted twice daily. This is done of course to further mitigate and protect against the spread of the COVID-19 virus. Any soils sample specimens that need to be dropped off, can be left in our designated drop zones at our labs in Rockland, MA and/or Cumberland, RI. Sample containers, buckets, etc., will be collected by our laboratory technicians equipped with protective gloves. When possible, we’ll disinfect the applicable soils sample buckets as well.
Lastly, please remember, the best way to protect yourself, your family, and our community, is with everyday preventive measures such as washing your hands often, covering coughs and sneezes, and disinfecting surfaces regularly. Social distancing is also a very important tool in slowing the progression of the Coronavirus. All of us must practice these measures. Some are simple, some my be life-changing. But, they must be followed in the coming days and weeks to significantly help in the prevention and spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).
